The Covid-19 pandemic has been a major setback to the economy, worldwide.  Needless to say, the Corporation has not left any page unturned to be of aid in this crises period.  KTCL officials did a commendable job of providing clean, sanitized buses to various Govt. Departments, buses for distribution of cooked food to the needy, for supplying essentials to Covid campus/containment zones, transported almost 2400 stranded migrants/students to their native places, arranged to bring back stranded Goans /Goan students from different places back to Goa, Sanitizers and thermal guns to check temperature at all depots and buses were provided, transportation of sea farers from Airport to various hotels or quarantine centres was done.  Thus, playing a vital role as Front-line Warrior.

In addition to the above, the Corporation officials undertook various precautionary measures to maintain cleanliness and control over spreading of Corona virus. Disinfectants were sprayed at Bus Stands/Depots/Workshop/Head Office premises and on machinery to prevent spread of virus.  Sanitization was done on both interior and exterior surface of buses before and after operation by spraying disinfectants with the help of Directorate of Fire Department.  All the bus stands and buses were sanitized on regular basis.

The Liberalisation Policy, the amendment in the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, lockdown due to the Covid 19 Pandemic and the increasing input costs in terms of material and labour have had a direct impact on the cost of operation.  The Corporation has still endured to provide the best means of transport to the people of Goa thereby assisting in the economic growth of the State.
